Teenager's birthday card

Met my nephew-in- law for the first time a few weeks ago and his a lovely lad. His birthday is coming soon and I made this card for him. He is football mad and I am hoping he will like this.
The background is done with Brusho crystals and then lots of different football related stamps were stamped over the background. The name was cut out and the edges inked. The trophy was stamped, coloured with pencils and cut out. Sentiment was stamped and inked and faux stitched.

Thank you for the visit and I hope you have a lovely day.

Grumpy Goose Set

This is another adorable digital set by Beccy Muir which  is call 'Grumpy Goose Set'. I just love the cute goose image and the sentiments which go with it. This set can be found in  Beccy Muir's Shop.
You can find more inspiration on Beccy's blog

Decided to keep these two cards very simple as I just wanted the sentiments and image to stand out. Just  adore the cute goose and the fun sentiments.  Both images were printed onto white cards and coloured with pencils. I used embossing folders on the background and pattern paper. Several dies were used on the second card.

Hope you like my cards. Do pay a visit to Beccy's Blog to see what the other DT members have created.

Feather Nest clear stamp set

Hope all is well with you today. It's time to share another of Beccy Muir's October releases. It's the first time Beccy has produced her own photopolymer  stamps. This set is called 'Feathered Nest' and not only has images but very useful sentiments. They are wonder designs and they stamp very well.

You can find this and all the other stamp and digital sets on Beccy's Shop.

Below are two of my creations using this wonderful set of stamps.

My first project is the card above. I used one of the image stamps and sentiment stamp to created a background for the card. The main image and a sentiment from the 'Feathered Nest' stamp set were stamped onto white card. The main image was coloured with watercolour pencils. The image and sentiment were then die cut  (Tattered lace dies) and mounted onto the created background. Used dimensional paint on the centres of the flowers and faux stitched around the edge of the background.

The second project is this wine bottle holder. The holder is a Tonic die. Five of the sides were the solid die cuts and one was the decorative panel. On each of the solid panels I used one of the smaller stamp from the 'Feathered Nest' stamp set with green ink to decorate them. The tag was another tonic die, one of the smaller image  and a sentiment were stamped onto the tag. The image was coloured with watercolour pencils. Faux stitched around the tag and attached it to the wine bottle.

Hope you like my project enough to visit Beccy's blog and shop to see what the other member for the DT have created with this wonderful set.

Very special church in Trinidad

My photo really does not do this church justice. It is the oldest wooden church in Trinidad and has the most amazing feeling when you walk in. There was a wonderful member of the congregation named Richard who let us in and told us all about this very special church. You could feel God's presence in this amazing space. I feel so privileged to come up this special place by 'accident'. Ok, I don't really believe it was by accident but was God's will for us to be there.
Amazing experience.

Build-A-Wreath set from Beccy Muir

This is a wonderful new set of digital stamps by Beccy Muir, called 'Build-A-Wreath', you can find it in  her SHOP.

These are a couple of cards I made using this wonderful set.

I used several elements from the set to created the central image. It was printed on white card and coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils. The background was created with Brusho crystals.

Once again I combined different elements from the Build-a-Wreath set to created my central image. It was coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils. The background was done with pearl paint and Spellbinders die.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and hope you will fine more inspiration on the other DT's blogs.

Sneak Peak

Sneak peak of my project using the Build a Wreath digital set.

The Build-a-Wreath set is a very versatile set.

All of the individual elements have been saved as .png files, which means they have a transparent background for clean and simple merging. That feature, combined with the ability for resizing and flipping, means there is an almost endless array of possible configurations you can discover.
Coming on 1st October  to Beccy's Shop

More tiles and Skipper

These Pebeo paints are such fun to play with. Got a few more unqlazed tiles and this is what I did with them.

This was Skipper on Sunday on the hunt. She did cat a furry and thankfully she did not eat it. She is doing well.

Have a great day.

Birthday card for BIL

Background of the card created using Brusho crystals and lots of Tim Holtz stamps. I just love making my own backgrounds, it's so much fun.

Coloured the gray-board with black gesso and then added various colours of wax and then edge it with Pebeo antique gold gilding wax. The name was cut out from card that was coloured with green pearlescent paint . The washers (real metal) were coloured with alcohol inks.

Really hope he likes the card. I am happy with how it came out.

Sewing project

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Was nice to get a bit of rain for the garden. Spent today making this beach bag for my sister, really hope she will like it. Did not measure the fabric just folded in half and cut where I thought it looked right, cut out the lining fabric by using the main fabric as a guide. Then cut out a square for the bottom corners of all the layers of fabric. Also made a pocket for the inside and covered a piece of mount board with main fabric for the base of the bag.
Really please with how it turned out.

Skipper is doing really well, she caught two furry things yesterday and brought one inside (alive)!

Have a great day.

Playing with Pebeo paints and Skipper

This is Skipper's new best place to sleep. She is doing well but has been sick a few times recently so we are keeping a close eye on her.

Below are two of the ceramic coasters that I made this week. Had lots of fun playing with my Pebeo fantasy paints. On these two I used both the moon and prisme paints and I just love the textures they produce. Have a great weekend.
