Wedding card

Sharing a wedding card I  made yesterday. The main image is a stamp from Lili of the Valley, which I have had for years. Coloured the image with watercolours  and glitter pens. The dies used are all Sue Wilson ones. The sparkle background was made using Imaginations  crafts Starlight paint. The pattern paper is from  a DCWV  paper pad, which I have had for over 9 years.
Sorry for the poor photos.

Just wanted to say my heart goes out to all those who were caught up in the terrible incident in London.

Little Cottage

My design team project using Beccy Muir's 'Little Cottage' digital set. You can find the set in Beccy's Shop and more inspiration on Beccy's Place blog.

Lets start with the base layer of this canvas. I used three shades of brown paint and blended them together. Then used a stencil and pearl paint to create the rays. The 'Little Cottage image and sentiment were printed onto white card. The house was then coloured using inktense and coloursoft penicls. The windows and flowers had glossy accents added to them. The sentiment was cut up and framed with black pen. The flowers and leaves were cut using various dies. I used craft wire to shape the heart and then added beads and gold wire on top.

Hope you like this project. I am really please with how it turned out.

Safari Set

Time to show what I have created with Beccy Muir's new 'Safari Set' of digital stamps and sentiments. You will love the images and words in this set and find you can use them for many different projects.

The 'Safari Set' can be bought from Beccy Muir's SHOP and inspiration can be found on Beccy's Place blog.  The digital 'Safari Set' comes with both the black and white images and the coloured images.

My first project is a wall hanger. For this I used the elephant image and one of the sayings from the set.  Then masked it out and used brusho colours to created the background colours. The elephant was coloured using pencils.

The second project is a card. For this I printed the lion image and words onto white card. The lion was then coloured with pencils . The image and words were framed with a black pen line and mounted onto a black card.

Thank you for the visit.

One layer card

After the dreadful weather we had yesterday it's so nice to get some wonderful sunshine. Made this one layer card for a friends birthday. It's so hard to keep cards under 20g for postage.
Made a circle stencil by die cutting a circle and then used distress inks and a flat soft brush to apply the ink to the circle. I wanted a bit of texture  which I got from the brush. Then stamped the various images and sentiment onto the card front. The stamps were free with a magazine.

This is my baby in the garden a few minutes ago. Since her attack by that bad cat, she only goes out when one of us is with her. She is sitting on her dried cat mint plant which is showing signs of life.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Smooth Seas card

It's been a while since I just got a piece of white card and experimented. The background was done using various inks and paints with different stencils. Once the paints and inks were dried, the words and anchor stamps were added. The main image and sentiment (Beccy Muir's Smooth Seas stamp set) were stamped and coloured with coloursoft pencils and alcohol markers. The anchor and crab were die cut and coloured with Pebeo gilding wax in two colours.

Smooth Seas

Time to introduce another new stamp set from Beccy Muir. This set of photopolymer stamps is called 'Smooth Seas' and is a great set of images and sentiments.
You can purchase the 'Smooth Seas' stamp set from Beccy's Shop and find more inspiration on how to use them on Beccy's Place blog

My project using the 'Smooth Seas' stamp set is a ceramic heart hanger. The ceramic heart was  unglazed so stamping was very easy. Stamped the seagull image first and then stamped the verse. The image was coloured with alcohol markers and once I was happy with the colours I sprayed it with Crafters Companion spray and sparkle. Unfortunately you can't really see who well the sparkle works over the image.  This is a great set for anyone who likes the sea and sailing.

Valentines card

It's snowing here for it's nice and sunny where you are. This is a Valentines card I made this week. It is hand drawn and coloured with watercolours and added the fun eyes. It's really simple but I think it works.

For those who were wondering how Skipper was doing. She is doing really well but I don't want to say that too loud. lol She is not limping anymore and much more alert.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Valentines day to all.💗

True Beauty

Introducing another one of Beccy Muir's digital image sets. This set is called 'True Beauty' and comes with one this beautiful image and several lovely sentiments. As always the set contains the black and white image and coloured image as well. You can find this set and many others in Beccy's Shop and lots of inspiration on Beccy's Place blog.

Every year I make calendars for my family and friends. This year I used this wonderful image from Beccy Muir's 'True Beauty' digital set for one of the front covers. The image was printed onto white card and coloured with pencils and glitter pens. Looks much better in real life.
The background was made by embossing a aqua card with leaf embossing folder. The light brown card was embossed with the same folder and die cut. The feathers were die cut from a sheet of paper coloured with Brush crystal. The numbers and sentiment were cut with dies as well.
The colours do blend much better in real life.

Thank for visiting.

Pets!!!!

 Back from the vet again.

Hope you are having a good weekend. Our pets put us through the ringers don't they. Well last week Skipper was sick every day and in the end had to have IV fluids at the vets for 24 hours. Got her back last Friday evening and she was doing much better all week. Then yesterday a beautiful warm sunny day, she was in a cat right with the cat below. We have no idea where he comes from. He is a very big male cat. Skipper's Daddy rescued her, not before she got injured. Once again we had to go the the out of hours vet. She got an antibiotic shot and had a good look over. She is still limping a little but fingers crossed will be back to her usual self soon. She is keep us on toes !!! :)

Hope the next week will be a quiet one for all of us. :)
